Between 1950 and 1952, journalist Falih R\u0131fk\u0131 Atay, journalist Ahmet Emin Yalman, \u015e\u00fckr\u00fc Esmer launch an initiative but could not have been successful.<\/p>\n

Ankara rotary club was establ\u0131shed on 24 March 1954 With the second initiative initiated by O\u011fuzhan Koraltan in 1952. Nail Avunduk and Assoc. Dr. Mukbil \u00d6zy\u00f6r\u00fck became founding member.<\/p>\n

The first club president is \u015eahap Birgi.<\/p>\n

Ankara Rotary Club which took Charter on 23rd March 1955 is the first Rotary club in Turkey<\/p>\n

\u0130stanbul Rotary Club was established on February 8, 1956 under the presidency of O\u011fuzhan R. Koraltan. R\u0131fat Bereket, \u0130smail Hakk Kutbay, Kaz\u0131m Ta\u015fkent, Eli Rosenthal, Hilmi Naili Barlo and John A. Caouki are founding members of this club.<\/p>\n

The third Rotary Club of Turkey is \u00a0\u0130zmir Rotary Club.<\/p>\n

This club was founded by the initiatives of Nejat Eczac\u0131ba\u015f\u0131 and John Caouki from Istanbul Rotary Club.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Izmir Rotary Club held its first meeting on January 9, 1961, with its founders who are Sadi Aral, Cemil Atalay, Muvahhit Atamer and S\u00fcreya Birsel.<\/p>\n

The fourth Rotary is the Bursa Rotary Club founded on 12 June 1963 with the initiatives of Z\u00fcbeyir \u015eeyhun and initiative of the Istanbul Rotary Club.<\/p>\n

Within the first ten years, the number of Rotary clubs has not exceed four.<\/p>\n

\u00c7ankaya Rotary Club was added in 1965 and Samsun Rotary Club was added in 1966.<\/p>\n
